In Memoriam - Tiffany Leavy

July 5, 1994 – October 30, 2009

Tassel Depot / Hofmann & Leavy mourns the passing of The Expert, Tiffany Leavy. She passed away peacefully this morning at the age of 108, 15 human years. She will be remembered for her invaluable contributions to Tassel Depot in her position of "The Pawfessional". She promptly handled all the “Ask the Expert” inquiries and her picture will remain on our site in her memory. She was extremely intelligent, alert and always had a smile. Her loyalty to the company and all of her colleagues, both two legged and four legged was unparalleled and she will surely be missed. Condolences go out Jack & Lynne Leavy and entire Tassel Depot family. In lieu of flowers or donations, please leave a comment below to pay your respects to Tiffany. www.tasseldepot.com

Tassel Depot Introduces “The Expert”

Tassel Depot introduces the newest member of the management team with the title of “The Expert”. Tiffany Leavy has been brought back from being semi retired to the post of Chief Information Officer. She has been employed at Tassel Depot for 13 years, beginning with the company as it was known, Hofmann & Leavy. Tiffany’s great grandfather, Edward T. Leavy took ownership of the tassel company in 1929 and her father Jack Leavy joined the company in the forties. Tiffany, and her brother Roger Leavy, now owner of the company watched the beautiful cords being made into tassels from the time they were a little kids. They always say
"We grew up in the business”.

Now in her dog year of 91, Tiffany is a bit bored hanging around the house and has decided to use her expertise in getting back to work. Queen Elizabeth II accompanied by her husband Prince Philip, will be visiting the United States in May for the first time in 16 years. It is the 400th Anniversary of Jamestown, where the Virginia English Colony was established and Tassel Depot Tassels will be there to celebrate.
